The Government has typically held two major fiscal events each year – the Autumn Budget and the Spring Statement – each updating on the economy’s performance, significant tax changes, fiscal measures, and adjustments to allowances. However, in 2024, major tax changes were limited to one fiscal event a year (which was the Autumn budget). Despite the absence of immediate changes to personal or business taxation, the Spring Statement, which was announced by the Chancellor on 26th March, remains highly relevant for individuals and business owners.
